Well this site has had a long run in its current format, nearly a year has passed and its time for a change-up. The full redesign of this site is high up on my current project list. I have reactivated and updated my iStockphoto and ShutterStock portfolios with high resolution macro and texture photos. I have started post-processing the shots from the Fabrication 2005 show on November 19th. More will be posted as available, but headshots of some of the models are up on the model page.

I had planned a slow removal of my photos from my microstock portfolios to give people an opportunity to pick up any shots they needed, but it turns out that all of my photos available through iStockphoto.com will be removed around December 15th. This means some will be available a few weeks longer, and others available for a few weeks less than I had originally planned. My other microstock portfoios will be removed as previously scheduled. For the next few months, my primary distribution channel will be through Acclaim Images, and more distributors will be announced as they become available.

The stock shoot is being rescheduled for a later time. I have several projects in the works at the moment, and need to focus on wrapping them up. I have begun distributing photos under Rights Managed licensing through Acclaim Images. I also have a few select Royalty Free photos there as well.

I am in the beginning phases of planning another business stock shoot on location at the offices of a local Austin company. More information will be available as plans are finalized, but its currently looking like it will be a mid-November shoot. Please contact me if you are interested in participating. I have also expanded distribution of my stock photography through two new vendors, shutterstock.com and 123royaltyfree.com. Both of these new vendors license photos on a subscription basis. Shutterstock is still on the lookout for new photographers, so if you are interested in supplying photos, you should go to submit.shutterstock.com.

The shoot yesterday went really well, I've started post-processing and you can see some of the finished shots in my onemodelplace portfolio. The models were a pleasure to work with and the whole shoot went fairly smootly. We shot for about three hours until it started getting too hot to work outside. Thank goodness fall is nearly here.

Tonight, my wife and I attended Amy's Ice Cream's Zero Gravity Trick Night at the 6th and Lamar location. It was a contest between the various Amy's Ice Cream stores to see who had the staff with the best ice cream tricks. A grand time was had by all, and there are photos available here.

I have finally launched DavidGilder.com. I will be updating the news section regularly with information on upcoming photoshoots and other interesting events in the Central Texas area.
